Summary

This position will be responsible for the preparation of non-sterile medications under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist

Available Schedules: 

  • 6:00am-2:30pm M-F
  • 7:00am-3:30pm M-F
  • 8:00am-5:30pm M-F

  • 7:00am-5:30pm M-Th
  • 6:00am-7:00pm Fri-Sun  *Only 1 opening for the weekend shift

Salary: $17/HR       

 

Duties/Responsibilities:

  •  Learn and apply company standard operating procedures (SOP) to perform supporting compounding tasks, participate in dosage form training, and obtain in depth knowledge (validation) in the preparation and handling of at least 1 dosage compounding form following established protocols and compounding techniques.

• Adhere to all applicable regulations, state law, and federal law. Learn and apply USP standards to prepare, handle, and dispose of materials including hazardous waste.

• Prepare nonsterile compounded preparations in adherence to the master formula record and each individual compounding record.

• Use good compounding practices to avoid cross contamination, and to ensure correct potency and quality of each preparation.

• Clean and sanitize the compounding area, equipment, and tools in accordance with regulations

• Maintain strict documentation and record-keeping of compounded medications, ingredients, lot numbers, and expiration dates.

• Monitor and maintain inventory levels of compounding supplies,

• Participate in training programs, continuing education, to stay updated on compounding techniques, regulations, and industry advancements.

 

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.

• 6 months plus experience preferred in pharmacy.

• Experience as a compounding Pharmacy Technician, with a focus on non-sterile compounding, preferred but not required.

 

Certificates, Licenses, & Registrations:

• Must hold a current pharmacy technician license or registration through the State Board of Pharmacy in ARIZONA

• Must have, or obtain within 6 months of hire, the pharmacy technician national certification (CPhT)

 

Required Skills:

• Able to read and follow SOPs and complete basic mathematical calculations used in the role.

• Able to work on routine compounding task assignments and utilize basic compounding skills as required for the position.

• Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills to ensure accuracy and efficiency in compounding operations.

 

Physical Demands/Work Environment:

• Must be able to work in an environment with hazardous chemicals, pharmaceutical ingredients, and other chemical and biological hazards. Will be required to wear an N-95 mask, gloves, safety glasses, and other personal protective equipment.

• Must be able to stand for majority of scheduled workday and may occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.

The Contracts Coordinator Associate provides technical pricing support for national, regional or local account customer concepts, providing contract consistency and adherence to compliance standards.

  • Loading the agreement for customer deviated and (approved) internal and non-deviated pricing agreements.

  • Maintain accurate Terms Listing and utilize the Terms list to manage workload and communications with all applicable department personnel to ensure the timely receipt of vendor agreements and minimize the risk of expiration of deviated pricing arrangements.
  • Maintain accurate Customer Account Management Summary (CAMS) (reference sheets) for assigned Local, Regional and National Account concepts. 
  • Update pricing to reflect District Corrections, internally funded deviations and margin erosion pricing updates on a timely basis to accurately reflect customer pricing and minimize risk of USF margin leakage.
  • Complete audit files for internal review process; complete any self audits relating to the audit process. Respond timely to Price Audit Analyst questions on audit. Ensure audit log is updated on a timely basis.
  • Complete monthly Contract Information Report (CIR) reviews to ensure each assigned customer concept is reviewed monthly, focusing on any potential outliers to pre-determined pricing parameters.

As a Non-Sterile Compounding Pharmacy Technician, you will play a crucial role in our commitment to providing high-quality veterinary medications and ensuring the safety and health of animals. Working in a state-of-the-art compounding facility and under the supervision of the managing pharmacist in charge, you will be responsible for the preparation of non-sterile medications in compliance with pharmacy law, standards of pharmacy practice, and USP compounding standards. Your primary focus will be on compounding various non-sterile medications, including capsules, scoop powder, tablets, oral liquids, transdermal gels, otics, topical medications, and medicated treats. All dosage forms listed include hazard and nonhazardous. Your attention to detail, strong technical skills, and dedication to quality will contribute to the success of our compounding operations.

 

Duties:

  • Monitor and maintain inventory levels of compounding supplies, including chemicals, solutions, and equipment, and place orders as needed.
  • Participate in training programs, continuing education, and professional development opportunities to stay updated on compounding techniques, regulations, and industry advancements.
  • Collaborate with pharmacists and other team members to ensure efficient workflow and timely completion of compounding orders.
  • Maintain a strong track record of reliability and punctuality.
  • Cross train in multiple departments, as needed.

  • Must hold a current pharmacy technician license or registration through the State Board of Pharmacy in the state where the compounding facility is located. A technician trainee license/registration may be acceptable if allowed by the relevant State Board of Pharmacy.
  • Must have, or obtain within 6 months of hire, the pharmacy technician national certification (CPhT) through the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) or National Healthcareer Association (NHA). Completion of continuing education credits to maintain national certification is required.

RemX is seeking to assist our not-for-profit client find their next successful Program Aide. This position is located within Hotel Louisville, a great place with a great cause!! This is an excellent weekend shift position for someone who wants to do meaningful work for the community or would also be a great position for someone looking for supplemental weekend income. 

 

 

POSITION HIGHLIGHTS

Pay rate: $17.00

Shift: Weekends: Saturday and Sunday 12 hour Shift 7a-7p to 8a-8p

Location: Onsite at Hotel Louisville

 

WHAT YOU WILL DO

Face to face encounters with homeless occupants.

Routine contact checks.

Assist with picking up and delivering dinners.

Conduct room checks at 5p, 7p, & 9pm. 

Help clients with daily tasks and provide supplies as needed.

Entered clients list on logs and enter clients’ encounters.

Arrange transportation for client’s doctor appointments.

Schedule appointments for nurse visits.

Schedule appointments through TARC, or Z-Trips.  

Conduct EMS calls for emergencies.
